Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail Ride

Full Ride 

Start Time: Longer Option 9.00 am from Lilydale Station/ short option From Wandin North approx 9.30 am with plenty of parking at both locations.
Start Location: Lilydale Station/Wandin North
Ride Distance: Approx 80km long ride, 60km short ride return
Lunch Stop: Alpine Retreat Hotel Warburton between 12.00 and 12.30

Coffee Stop: After lunch the group will head back to Lilydale/Wandin North, with a rest stop for snacks/drinks at the delightful Carriage cafe Seville.
Speed: Enjoyable

Terrain: The trail is unsealed, but is in very good condition. Road bikes can be used on the trail, however the Bug recommends
riding either a hybrid or mountain bike.

The trail follows the path of the historical railway line through the stunning Yarra Valley.

The ride starts at the Lilydale railway station car park, and finishes at the beautiful township of Warburton.

The trail takes you on a journey through delightful bushland, vineyards, beautiful mountain scenery, farmlands and forests. You cross restored bridges, and meander past remnants of former railway station platforms.

The rail trails gentle gradients make the ride ideal for riders of all levels of fitness.

Note: This Ride is a full day event, Make sure you carry plenty of water and snacks.
