Works have been completed on upgrading the Darebin Creek Trail between McKimmies Road and Sycamore Reserve (approximately one kilometre in length) to a 2.5 metre wide concrete shared path (Whittlesea Leader Article below).
This is an exciting development and is part of an overall plan that the Whittlesea BUG has been advocating for to eventually link the South Morang Rail Extension Bike Path with the Metropolitan Ring Road Bike Path via a fully paved Darebin Creek Trail.

We commend the City of Whittlesea for their commitment to this project.
