Bicycle Network is once again running their Super Tuesday Commuter Counts on Tuesday, 5th March, 2024 from 7am to 9am, which is happening in participating council areas across WA, SA, TAS, VIC, NT and NSW.

The data collected contributes to the local council improving conditions for bike riders in the local area.

If you have capacity and, contributing to the greater good of bike riders in our municipality is something that interests you, please consider volunteering for one of the 15 sites around the City of Whittlesea.

You can register and choose a site at this link: https://counts.bicyclenetwork.com.au/traffic-survey/202/

Counters are eligible to receive a $70 donation to a club/charity of their choice, in exchange for their time in completing the bicycle count. Naturally, we would be delighted if you nominate Whittlesea BUG to be the recipient of the donation that you receive.

You can find out more about the Super Tuesday event here: https://www.bicyclenetwork.com.au/our-services/transport-surveys-and-data/super-counts/

We would love to see counters at all 15 sites if possible, because this will provide Council with a full picture of how people in Whittlesea are using their bikes for commuting and will inform future budgets for improved bicycle infrastructure to benefit all of us.
